This course ensures that all formal classroom training, written exams, practical exams, and the operator evaluations are completed per OSHA requirements. Our trainers provide you with all the required documentation for your certification that your training has been completed.

This course is designed to fulfill OSHA’s current requirement that “Only Trained and Authorized Operators shall be permitted to operate Powered Industrial Trucks.”  The course averages approximately 5-6 hours and will utilize video segments, lecture, and group discussion in addition to practical exercises on Lift Equipment.  This content of the course will center on the following topics:

  • accident prevention

  • driving skills

  • fueling & charging

  • inspecting your truck

  • load handling

  • pedestrian hazards

  • dangers of complacency

  • equipment knowledge

  • dock hazards

    COST:  1 student:  $125,  3-5 students:  $100 each,  6 or more students:  $90 each

Each operator will be required to learn basic fundamentals, pass basic tests, and practical exercises to pass the course.  Operators who satisfactorily complete the course will be recognized with a Certificate of Formal Classroom Course Completion.  Employers are responsible for the certification of training completion as specified by OSHA.

Similar to #1, except instruction is geared more toward your actual trucks and facility.  Additionally, students will participate in exercises to determine the workplace and pedestrian hazards.  This course lasts approximately 5-6 hours.  OSHA requires that operators be evaluated and reviewed within three years of initial training, on their equipment, in their workplace environment.  An unsatisfactory evaluation will require the operator to attend refresher training.

COST:  2-3 students:  $395,  4-6 students:  $695,  7-10 students:  $1,195.  For groups over 10, please call to schedule and get large class group rates.

*Refresh training is required in the event of an accident, near miss, report of reckless operation, change of classification of equipment, alterations in the workplace exposing the operator to additional hazards, or an unsatisfactory evaluation.
